Issue 2

When I start my computer, I get this message.

RunDLL

There was a problem starting.

The specified module could not be found.

** Note **

My computer is Windows 7 Home Premium but may not be of a genuine copy.

How do I find out whether mine is a genuine copy?

Thank you in advance!

Hello kennylim20:

Regarding both issues 1 & 2:

Please consider using Avira's Uninstall Tool followed by a system restart.

Then, download Avira Antivirus Free and re-install followed by a system restart.

Download/install any application and database updates followed by your typical A-V scans.

Please let us know if that corrected both issues. :)

What indications do you experience that leads you to believe your Windows 7 Home Premium is failing authentication?

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.

Hello,

Tried scanning half way after installing Avira, but my whole computer restarted with the blue screen (believed to be called blue screen of death)

And, the RUNDLL message still appears when my computer starts.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello kennylim20:

At this point you would do well to engage one of the Malware Removal Experts of your choice for one-on-one assistance in ridding your system of any remaining malware.

Therefore I would suggest opening your own topic in Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs.

HTH :)

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.

Ensure you read and follow the instructions in the Malware Removal and Log Section Preparation Guide starting at Step 6 before starting your new topic as suggested by 1PW.

After doing that, please reply back in this thread with a link to the new topic so we can closed this one.
