About a month ago my analog audio died out of nowhere, no amount of driver reinstalling solved it. I plug things in and my PC says nothing is plugged in.

More recently, I can't restart more than once after a power drain.

I tried a whole bunch of things as seen here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/537004/continuation-of-a-previous-topic-details-inside/

Hi,

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like your PC is giving up the ghost. It sounds like you're on a laptop. Look carefully at the cost of repair versus the cost of replacement. It may be that time. I hope you have current backups of your important data.

I'm on a desktop that I personally made.

Hi,

Desktop - repairs should be easier and less costly.

I don't understand the 'power drain' comment in relation to a desktop. Please explain a bit more for this thick head of mine.

My desktop is also homemade, and remade, and remade . . . .

Well If you read the last couple of pages of my last thread (where by the way it was decided I may as well just re-install Windows) it means, unplug my PSU, hold power for 15 seconds and turn it on again.

I'd love to just buy new stuff but I can't afford it.

I have to try my best to make what I have work.
