I got a Prism 2 last week and boy is it slow, even out of the box. I have clean Master and clean up with that every few days, I have CM Security to scan for stuff and my phone is clean. I have a 32gb sd and Ive put all my stuff on it except facebook, messenger, and skype. I have about 300mb free and the phone is still super super slow! I also run FTL Launcher which did help a bit but thats about it. I dont want to root or anything like that, any ideas?

The phone only has 512M of RAM. There's not a lot you can do about that.

Rooting is one possibility. If you do that you can partition the SD card and use one partition for a swap partition using a tool like Roehsoft RAMEXPANDER (I use and recommend it, but have no ties to the programmer).

Also, you have 4G internal storage, so that's going to slow things down. A rooted phone would also allow you to use an app like Link2SD to store apps away from that main 4G.

Between the two apps, 3 partitions on a single SD would be perfect (one for swap, one for Link2SD and one for regular storage). Which is how I set mine up.

An unrooted phone can't use either method, much less both. Short of that, you're going to be afflicted with speed problems.

Rooting would be a great option. I've had a similar phone (ZTE Skate), way too slow out of the box.

The Prism 2 is basically a Huawei U8686. I'd search for custom roms for that model.

Also, as stiltskin said: Link2SD.

Link2SD is amazing for these low end phones. It can be a little tricky to setup, but once you get it you're going to enjoy it.
