help me! problems after start up

Laptop starts up fine.
Then whatever programme i choose to open, slows down and crashes for 10-20 mins. "not responding, icons dissapear from desktop reappear...
sometimes disables MSE and acton centre asks to chose anti virus..
occasionaly I get the error message: Mongoose line 380
And once something to do with CHAMELEON, but i think this is legit - ASUS related?
After this 10-20 min delay, laptop runs at aound 90per cent, maybe a tiny bit slow.
MB free version full scan, nothing found. Mse nothing. Superantisp, only tracking cookies.
Was going to try ESET but not sure if I have to uninstall one of the above first?
