I already installed x264vfw (64 bit version).  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit version.

It can open my MTS files, but it can't open my avi files (which are H.264 AVC1 codec

taken by my car dash camera 2 channel system).

Anyone know what else I need (codec?) to open these files?

I usually use  Combined Community Codec Pack and it has always opened any video file I needed

Personally I use VLC. If it can not play the video the video is either badly damaged or not video.

I prefer not to add codecs to the system unless a particular one is needed and then I only add that one and not a codec pack. It is a personal Preference BTW.

If You need to edit and convert the video there are other methods.

Good Luck
