Twitter on Wednesday was briefly overrun by a powerful computer worm that caused tens of thousands of users to tweet a message that contained self-propagating code exploiting a bug in the TweetDeck app.

The headline is misleading as this problem only affected users of Tweetdeck so it really had nothing to do with Twitter. The Tweetdeck vulnerability was fixed and things were back to normal yesterday afternoon.
