Hello all,

You may refer to me as Venkee! I am an Information Security & Digital Forensics student and worker (does one ever stop being a student?). I have been working for the majority of my life to better understand infosec and malware. I have spent time working with many companies researching malicious software and their evolution as well as data protection and disaster mitigation methods. I often find myself coming to this website when doing research for a client regarding many different types of problems, so I figured I would join up and see what the community was like :) - I hope to learn just as much as I am able to give away. I look forward to meeting the community!

Venkee, Welcome to BC Forums!

The way that you became a member was the same for me. Had also been a follower of the forum for years, frequently using advice from similar posts to solve issues for myself & others.

Glad to have you abroad & hope that your experience can assist others. :)

Performing full disc images weekly and keeping important data off of the 'C' drive as generated can be the best defence against Malware/Ransomware attacks, as well as a wide range of other issues.
