Hello, all.

I just replaced my win 7 laptop with a new one running win 8.1. On the old laptop, I used two win 7 gadgets, System Monitor II and (especially)  Core Temp to monitor my system on the desktop. Does anyone have any experiencce with any of windows 8 apps that will show this kind of data in an effective way as the Core Temp and system Monitor II did?

Thanks.

I use Speedfan to monitor temps.  I've noticed that Speccy does too although on my Toshiba laptop the Speccy numbers are 20 degrees C higher than the Speedfan ones, so I don't believe the Speccy temps.  On Windows 8 I really like what MS did with the task manager (although it doesn't show temps), and from Task Manager you can get to the Resource Manager which shows a plethora of system info.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.
