What programs are you running that your dad doesn't? (look in the start menu too)

Are you playing graphics intensive games on your account that he doesn't?

or

Can you do everything you normally do while using your dad's account without a crash?

Have you installed a USB device since the problem has started? How long has the problem been with your machine?
Have you tried to roll back to the "Last known good configuration" in safe mode? To the point before the problem had started.
Have you chcked the Event View in Administrative Tools?
