I don't know why Torcho is on my computer, but I would like to uninstall it. Somehow, I cannot uninstall it. When I hover over something it appears. Every website I go to it appears. When I try to uninstall it it tells me to go to Control Panel then Uninstall. I do not see Torcho on my computer. Please help.

Hello,

First look for any extensions or add-ons in your browser(s) related to Torcho and remove them.

Please Download and Run AdwCleaner and post the log in your next post.

Download and install Malwarebytes but do not run it yet.

Download and Run Rkill in an admin account. After it has finished, it will show what processes were terminated. Do not reboot the computer. Run Malwarebytes and do a scan.

Torcho web or Torcho.com is considered to be a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program).  Malwarebytes should take care of most of this, but you may need to manually remove this from your browser.

What JohnC_21 has suggested should be done.  I would like to suggest one other scan be run in order to rule out the possibility that there are infections involved here.

Please run the ESET OnlineScan

  • Hold down Control and click on this link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
  • Click the esetonlinebtn.png button.
  • For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
    • Click on esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
    • Double click on the esetsmartinstaller_enu.png icon on your desktop.
  • Check "YES, I accept the Terms of Use."
  • Click the Start button.
  • Accept any security warnings from your browser.
  • Under scan settings, check "Scan Archives" and "Remove found threats"
  • Click Advanced settings and select the following:
    • Scan potentially unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth technology
  • ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
  • When the scan completes, click List Threats
  • Click Export, and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
  • Click the Back button.
  • Click the Finish button.

If you expect to resolve these issues you will have to do the scans which you have been requested to run.

Do these, post the logs, and we can go from there.

I would still suggest running the requested scan to be sure you are not infected.

But this is your choice to make.

Good luck.
