F.E.A.R, Stalker shadow of chernobyl. I always play with noise canceling headphones in a dark room so I can get into the games. There was a previous thread on this, I will try to find it and post the link here, there were some good recomendations there.

Once upon a time video games are cute, we really play the games for fun and passing the time. Now a days there are varieties of video games are available. Scary video games are really adventurous for play, i like to suggest you some scary games to play like Mario , Dying Light, The Forest, The Evil Within, Dreadout etc. You just try these games, you really like these games i am sure.

It really depends on what you're looking for. As zingo156 already said, the F.E.A.R., and S.T.A.L.K.E.R games are pretty good. FEAR is a little bit more action oriented and STALKER has more of a post-apocalyptic RPG (Both are FPS). If STALKER looks good to you but you aren't really feeling the RPG aspect then the Metro games do an outstanding job of creating a creepy atmosphere with some truly terrifying moments (F@#$@# ANOMALIES)

If you really want to immerse yourself and have to stop and change your underwear every 20 minutes or so, I recommend getting the first Amnesia game, Outlast, or Slender: The arrival (The retail version of the game)

I really liked: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thief:_The_Dark_Project

That is an old game but I still want to play it again. It may not have been the scariest but certainly had some jumping points for me when fully imersed in a dark room with headphones etc.
