I have random audio clips playing in the background while I work and my computer has been unreasonably slow. I tried Kaspersky TDSS rootkit thing and Malwarbytes (and employed rkill while using these utilities) and it's not working. I don't think I have a good restore point either, because I tried that already. I'm at the end of my rope here; need the computer for school. Please advise.

I'm having some trouble with the format of the forum; it is showing up in a very stripped down manner, without any graphics, etc, so I hope this post comes out properly.

Okay ran the scans. Here are the log files:

You cleaned the items found by the AdwCleaner tool.
Thats is good.

I cannot read your FRST log in it's current format.

Each line must end with a Carriage return.

Open NotePad. On the menu select format.
change the Word Wrap setting.

Run the FRST tool and save a fresh log.
Paste it in your next reply.

It should look similar to the Additional.txt file you attached.
===

Before you run the FRSt tool

Create a new folder on your desktop. Name it My_FRST

Download a fresh copy of the Farbar tool and place it in the new folder.

Run the file from that folder.

Post the log.

Okay. Here's the scan from the FRST thing. Had to use a different computer to fix the formatting. Hope that's not a problem. The computer hasn't played any ads yet since the adw cleaner, but I haven't had the time with work and such to play with it much, so...yeah. Anyway:

Before your download I suggest you unckeck the box on the top right "Yes, install McAfee Security Scan Plus - optional" this is not required if you are not a McAfee subscriber. While the installation is in progress you can also deny the installation of any other programs that may be suggested.

When installed remove your old version of the Reader using the Add/Remove Programs applet if present.
