Hello.

I am new to this forum and have searched for windows 8 password recovery or editing tool. I know that I can use Hirens boot cd for Windows 7 and below. I have tried it with Windows 8 and it doesn't work obviously. Anyone know of a free tool out there that could do the trick. Thanks.

ophcrack maybe? or Windows Offline P&W Editor. I'd place my bet on those two.

Thanks,

Daniel

What exactly are you trying to do with the password?

I am trying to crack a password that a client has forgotten. You can do this with Hirens boot cd on Windows 7 and below. I will try the other methods above and see if those work.
