Am having this problem with my tray. I am using Win 8.1, I.E.11. The problem is that ,often, when I have to click on a program. I need to get to the bottom to click so to as to isnstall., etc. The tray is set to hidden , yet often will not minimize and freezes, I often have to minimize the program to be able to click. Very annoying. Any ideas? Thanks.

It sounds like you're using the Metro (Modern) mode IE.  I always use the one on the desktop, but even then I prefer the Firefox and Chrome browsers.  IE is simply buggy.  In addition I install Classic Shell from classicshell.net which gives me back the start menu and the look and feel of Windows 7.  Having done this I've had no problems with Windows 8 (now 8.1 with Update 1).  I found all that Metro stuff buggy, clumsy and lacking in many ways FWIW.  YMMV.

Good luck.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.
