Just signed up as my laptop's got an infection I can't get rid of.

I'm told that this is the place to look for help.

Welcome to BC.  Two things I do when I have infections.  First I download Malwarebytes and get it up to date.  Then I boot to Safe Mode and do a full system scan with it.  After that I do a full system scan with my antivirus program.

Good luck.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.
