My desktop with Win 7 and 16 gb of ram has developed a strange issue. I run a blank screen saver. When I move the mouse or tap the keyboard, the walpaper, which is a picture I've used for a long time, only comes up in little blocks in random areas. I move the cursor around and it acts like a paint brush restoring the picture where I move it over the desktop. What the heck???

Are you running a video card? It might be starting to fail.

I left out that the icons are gone as well as the picture. Where there were no icons, it stays black. Video card tests ok

Used a burn-in program--no problems
