Interesting and just thought I'd share... personally all my older hardware runs Mint or Ubuntu.

Glad to know that your hardware works on those other platforms.
I removed the link from your post above as the "hack" in question violates restrictions MS has placed on the OS.

To all readers:

Discussing such is in violation of BC policy.  In addition, the updates that would be received are actually for a differently structured OS used by businesses such as McDs for taking orders.

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.
