I've tried to remove some adware from steam using Spybot Search and Destroy, Malwarebytes Anti-malware, ADWCleaner and Malwarebytes Anti-rootkit. Not sure where to go from here or what logs to post. The infection popped up 2 days ago and I managed to remove it from chrome, however, steam is still showing the popup ads and random links. I'm Windows 8.1 and AVG free is my antivirus.

I can't edit the above post for some reason. EDIT: I managed to solve this one. http://www.overclock.net/t/1490256/raising-awareness-about-the-kb70007-privoxy-port-8118-ip-address-127-0-0-1-virus-that-is-going-around was the answer.
