A few hours ago  my Monitor suddently went black/to sleep mode.

I turned it off and back on and yet it's still in sleep mode.

I checked my monitor wire connection there's no loose connection.

So I pressed the Cap Lock key to see if the Cap Lock light on my keyboard will light up, and there's no light on the Cap key.

I had to do a forced shutdown (by holding the power button) to reboot my PC/desktop in order for it to boot back up normally

Is this a sign that my Graphic Card or CPU is dying? How can I solve this?

Thak you very much.

I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it unless it happens again. It could have been caused by something simple like a surge or sag in your electrical service.

Well...I would try another monitor with that system...and try that monitor with another system...before I drew any conclusions.
