Hello I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this here's the rundown i upgraded a client's machine from XP to Win 7 Pro. He has a Brother MFC 8480 dn that has to be connected via Paralle; Port. I wanted to know if there was a way to install the printer via Parallel Port?

Check your bios you will have to enable it there, the article below should help.
