Hello,

I am a new member on BleepingComputer.com in need of help! Lately my computer has been acting VERY slow, I am not sure what is wrong but I know it's something. I recently thought it might be because my computer hasn't been cleaned so I took it apart and got all the dust out and cleaned the fans and everything else. Unfortunately that is not the case. Even after cleaning the computer it is still running very slow at times (Every 2 minutes or so it will run to 100%), and then go back to normal. I have done some researching online and using some programs such as process explorer, and whenever CPU & Network reaching 100% usage the DllHost.exe Surrogate appears. I have ran Farbar and will attach the log files below. ANY help that could be provided I would REALLY appreciate it ! Thank you! Have a great weekend !

HKLM\...\Run: [InstallerLauncher] => "C:\Users\Vinny\AppData\Local\Temp\GZ_INSTALL_0\setuplauncher.exe" /run:"C:\Users\Vinny\AppData\Local\Temp\GZ_INSTALL_0\Installer.exe" <===== ATTENTION

This is suspicious. It's installed in a \Temp folder. You you do not know what it is I suggest you add the all the string to the fixlist.txt file I asked you to create.
See below.

Open notepad (Start =>All Programs => Accessories => Notepad). Please copy the entire contents of the code box below.

start

End
Save the files as fixlist.txt into the same folder as FRST

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

Restart the computer normally to reset the registry.

The tool will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.
===

Download Security Check by screen317 from here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
p.s.
If the SecurityCheck program fails to run for any reason, run it as an Administrator.
===

Let me know what problem persists.
