I manage approx. 25 computers at a public library. I'd say about three of the computers have HP keyboards, the rest are all Dell or Gateway.
I know how to use regedit and Initial Keyboard Indicators to make sure that NumLock is on when the computer starts up, but the HP keyboards are giving me a hard time and turn NumLock off when logging off an account. I do this a lot when I'm updating computers, as I switch between the public account (what the patrons use) and the exec account (which I use to make changes to the computer). All of our passwords here have numbers in them and I don't want to have to keep checking to make sure NumLock is on.
Does anyone know why this seems to be happening only with the HP laptops and what I can do to fix it?
