I've ran into an issue when printing color documents. Although the printer is defaulted to print in black and white and the document's settings are changed to print in black and white - the document still prints in color.

This issue is with one computer only because other computers that print to that same computer, do not have that issue.

What is a solution to this problem?

Hi,

If you are only changing the computer settings the printer is going to print from its last configuration - I'm guessing that it was color.

I would also be sure that that computer is using the latest printer drivers.

Keep us posted

I changed the printer's setting under printer preferences.  I'll see how that works.

I downloaded a new driver and that didn't solve it.

I don't know if it will do anything, but have you tried powering off the printer, letting it sit for a few minutes, and then powering it back up?

Yes.  In addition,  I believe that I've eliminated that the Printer itself is the problem as multiple computers print to that printer and they do not share that issue

Hi,

Have you printed a document from one of the other computers in color, copied the document to the problem computer and printed it again?

I agree that the one computer is the problem, I just haven't found the point to fix it :(

No,  I haven't done all that. It's so weird because it only occurs with certain documents.  Certain PDF's. So,  it's hard to even recreate the issue at times.

Hi,

Are all of the PDFs from the same source?

Thanks

No.  Most of them are PDF's that have been downloaded. There has been an issue with an Excel file too.

I'd recommend completely remove the driver and then reinstall.

From this link

You can remove print drivers that are not associated with a local printer or connection using the printui.exe tool

in an admin elevated command prompt type

printui /s /t2

Be sure to remove the driver AND the package.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.  That appears to have solved the matter
