While randomly while i was google chrome, this popped up http://i.imgur.com/HeXeWeu.png. And it automatically downloaded so many at the same time. However, i got these files and did a virustotal scan in which found 11/44. Since these downloads saved onto my download folder, i file shredded all of them using bit-defender. But, i did not open them at all. I want to make sure i am malware free and not infected. I ran many scans e.g. spybot, hijackthis, bit-defender, malwarebytes, DrWeb Cureit, and also Superantispyware. Though, malwarebytes did find one infected "pup" file and it got removed immediently to the quarantine. And DrWeb Cureit also found some DLL host thing, and neutralized it. Other than that, all my scans were complete and did not find anything else....

But i am still paranoid that i might be infected.....

And i ran these scans without going into safe mode or anything....btw.

Hi Lightingout,

I don't think you are still infected, as anything that may have presented itself from the screenshot you posted above will have been detected by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. If you wish, you can follow these instructions and post a new topic here so that a malware removal specialist can check you are free of malware.

Please do not follow the instructions in the 2nd post since you had already posted a log before you started this topic.

Your other topic, which was in Windows 7 and contained a HJT log, was moved to Malware Removal Logs. That is the only forum HJT logs are allowed in.

Please continue with the process in that topic. It is here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/534917/random-popup-did-a-hijackthis-scan/#entry3373500
