hi i downloaded what i thought was software but it wasnt. i installled it but cant seem to remove this program or whatever it is. it is in tne ad/remove progs list but when i try to uninstall it says reboot required but when i reboot its still there. anyone no what it is and does and wether i need to get rid or not. p.s adware or spybot do not find it nor does norton

well it was sopposed to be mcafee internet security but i have now deleted the file. dont seem to be gettin any bad symptoms. just wouldnt like to think it may be passing my private info on to the net or things like that

Hi patch110, Ok so what AV, Firewall and antispymeasures are you running now. So we can be sure your not exposed to such problems.

In googling "advertismen" I found more users complaining about downloading this when they thought they were downloading a different program. I would suggest you submit a "Hijack This" scan because I would suspect this to be a malware program.

im running norton 2006'zonealrm pro'ad-aware se and spybot.none of these programs find it though. i have posted a hijack this log in the appropriate forum. thanks

hi folks just to let you know that i got rid of this piece of whatever by downloading (Clean Uninstaller).it free to try and seems to of done the trick.Thanks
