I have a Windows 7 64 bit laptop with 8gb ram. I have never had this problem until now. It freezes all the time and will not shut down. Am I infected? Freezing happened after a java update.

Are you sure that the java update was from oracle or some fake ad?

I have no idea. I turned on my computer and I saw a red java icon in the system tray, when i clicked on it, it said "Java is downloading." Then my computer started freezing uncontrollably. It also overheats. I cannot open files or folders without it freezing. I cant even shut my computer down. I need help! :(
