My SAS has been scanning C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\Log\USNTR.LOG for a while now. I found the file in its location and discovered that it's only 4.5 mb so why is SAS taking so long to scan it? I've never had this issue before. Any ideas on what to do?

USNTR.LOG is the avast persistence cache log.

Under Scanning and Program Preferences > Scanning Control, the default scanner option is to ignore files larger than 4 MB and ignore non-executables.

Not sure why SAS is hanging on it...there is really no need to scan this log so just add it's folder to the Manage Excluded Folders... to Scan.

After running for about 2 hrs (normally it's under 1) I closed SAS and just updated and ran it again. Didn't stall the second scan.
