Just reinstalled my OS and all my software after my pc crashed. But I haven't installed Java yet. Just wondering, is Java even necessary? Been running the computer now for about 2 weeks since it crashed and so far, no issues either online, or off line without Java. I know Java had some security issues in the past but to date, don't see the need  for Java. So my question, do you really need Java?
