Girlfriends Laptop won't accept wireless keyboard or mouse anymore

My wireless keybard and mouse were working perfectly for a few months and today it stopped working completely, we figured it finally died (had them for years) so we bought a brand new set but that won't register either. We plugged in her iPod and it took longer thab usual but it finally started charging and opened iTunes. Looked in Device Manager and there is no Red or Yellow marks. 


It's an HP Pavilion G6, Win7 and both sets are Logitech

Remember that there are batteries in both the mouse and the keyboard.

Were the new devices plugged in when you booted the computer?

Have you noticed any other differences in the operations?

Be patient. Windows likes to take its time installing a new keyboard and mouse driver. Do you notice any activity in the bottom right hand corner like as if it is searching for new hardware? Have you tried this new mouse and keyboard on a different computer?
