Headphones making sound distorted, no headphones audio is fine

OK so when I have my headphones in and this started about 5 minutes ago, My sound is garbled, with no headphones the sound is fine, the headphones work fine on my iphone.  The sound isn't garbled on the iphone but it is soudning more ditant, di  My headphones just blow out?

As noted by the other poster, if it just started, then you should try a reboot. Maybe some driver or something got screwed up/corrupted, but a reboot might fix it.

My other thought is…have you tried another pair of headphones?
