this url, don't follow it i think it's infected
((http, should be placed here to see what the beastly link originally was))://engine.4dsply.com/Redirect.engine?MediaId=14668&PId=17191&&PoolId=62&SiteId=101&ZoneId=100&Country=United%20Kingdom&PerformanceTest=&Bid=3.471&MaxBid=5&MediaSegmentId=11429
popped open as a pop up in chrome when i clicked a link, i run windows 8 and chrome showed a green bar moving across it's system tray icon(on ,my machine when a program is processing something the icon in the task bar shows a green bar moving across). i closed the pop up scumb*g window before the bar had progressed across but suspect the evil site may have got something onto my system before i could close the window. please advise (ASAP) on how to check my computer and find if the dirty url did a "driveby" on me or other such underhand tactic. i have avg installed along with malwarebytes(free scanner).
really need help.
infact further to that matter more than 1 pop up had opened, my browsing history says these were the addresses of them. all probably infected, have removed the h from the start of all urls to prevent accidental clicking.
all happened when trying to use a media fire link
to download a 3d model, according to avg and MBam this archive i meant to download is not infected, but i think something might have got onto my computer from the pop up page. am running MBam full system scan now.
