I was hacked a few days ago, a new user account was added to my laptop by remote host and then I got the blue screen. Ran spybot and malwar bytes, found out I had smitfraud-c installed. Took m,e a while to get rid of it, but finally after running smitfraudfix about 6 times it got rid of the virus. But then after reboot, my laptop is running really slow and I got the blue screen again. There is an SVCHOST eating up memory 132,000K and another SVCHOST running at 87,000K my firefox is also running at a high rate 300,000K + and it the only app I have open right now. Was glad to get rid of that virus, but now I'm having more problems. Could use some help please.

Thanks,

Aaron

Further looking into it, the 2 SVCHOST services causing problems are AudioEndpointBuilder and AeLookupSvc

Try running rougekiller.  Also before downloading something, make sure that its a mature file and if you still have doubt's you can always scan a file on www.virustotal.com.  Remember its better to stay safe than be infected then have it cleaned!

I didn't download the virus, my computer was hacked while staying in a hotel using the free wifi they had.. a page popped up in my firefox telling me I was hacked by so and so, it was laughing with a picture of some evil thing on it - very little security!

But I will try roguekiller
