Well, I suspected that my computer was infected then asked a friend for help, he sent me a link with a step by step to run a lot of tools and make sure the computer was safe.

I followed the instructions and used the following tools:-

But after all the procedure, I got some problems with my pc.

Like I said, I'm not being able to install and uninstall anything, also I can't run anything as administrator nor run .reg files. In all these cases, I got a message saying ""The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

I suppose that the problem was a .reg file I used do enable the "UAC" at the end of all the procedure. Even though my UAC was already disabled before everything, I thought it was a good idea to enable just in case...

Also I couldn't get a DDS log because when I try to run the DDS I got the same message: "The specified service does not exist as an installed service."

Does anyone knows what can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I have attached all the logs from the tools I used. (Except from MGlogs and TDSSKiller that was too big to upload, but they're all attached here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/533809/cant-installuninstall-anything/?p=3364924)

Using safe mode I could run the .reg file to disable again the UAC and now everything seems to be ok. Thanks anyway, can anyone close the topic?

  • A new DDS log. For your convenience, you will find the instructions for generating these logs repeated at the bottom of this post.
    • Please do this even if you have previously posted logs for us.
    • If you were unable to produce the logs originally please try once more.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from the following link if you no longer have it available and save it to your destop.

    DDS.com Download Link
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control can be found HERE.

As I am just a silly little program running on the BleepingComputer.com servers, please do not send me private messages as I do not know how to read and reply to them! Thanks!
