Hello everyone. I am trying to clean out my computer to sell and some software that has been on my comp for awhile and I want to get it off.

For Pilefile and Oxy: Everytime I try to delete it says I do not have Administrator rights to delete. I am the only account on the comp and I have admin on it.

Strongvault: Basically the same thing except it says that it cannot delete it at the moment. Try again later. I have and it keeps saying it.

Help please! -Caleb

Selling the PC? In my opinion the best and safest  option is format the HDD and reinstall the Operating system.

That way nobody can recover any of your data.

Well, my friend is buying it from me and he doesn't want to pay extra. Plus, I just want it gone.

Did your computer come with Windows pre-installed?  If so, why don't you just restore it to factory condition?  What's the make and model of the computer and which version of Windows does it have?

How would I go about doing that? Also my friend wanted some things pre-installed like  web browser, anti-virus, etc. I'm just wondering how to delete those things.
