Something happened such that I can't open any new tabs on my computer. For example, when I go to YouTube and am watching a video and click on the Share button nothing happens (the share information doesn't come up). Any drop down menu or tab that I want to open on any site won't open.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much.

What browser (name and version) are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
Hold down the Ctrl or Shift key when you are clicking something. If it opens you could have an over-active popup blocker.

The other browswer (Google Chrome) works on the links but is around 5x slower. Do you know how I can speed up Google Chrome or why it may be running so slowly?

I appreciate it.

I don't use Chrome so I cannot help you with it. Hopefully someone else can.

Try creating another Windows user account (temporarily) and then try browsing with Chrome in that user account? Is it any faster?

I assume the original browser you were using was Internet Explorer. Is that a correct assumption? If so, try using IE in the new Windows user account.

This is to see if maybe some Windows user account specific settings/preferences were screwed up with your existing Windows user account.

Also, what version of Windows are you using? Are you using any security/anti-virus software? If so, what?
