Hi there!

I am new to posting on forums so please excuse my awkardness. I have a HP laptop, dv7-6178us with supposedly a discrete graphics card, the AMD Radeon 7400M, with I guess the on board Intel HD3000 that seem to flake out at times. For example, sometime if I go to a website in Chrome with a video clip I will get a black screen with audio playing. So, sometimes I will switch to say Mozilla Firefox and retry it and I will get the sound & picture correctly.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? The graphic controllers are supposedly configurable but I've never been able to figure it out. And what's the whole purpose of having a split configuration? A balance of performance and battery conservation I've assumed...
