Hi I have a new Toshiba notebook with windows 8 and all of a sudden my keyboard doesn't work. That is - it works for logging in, but as soon as I have typed in my password and come on to the start side it doesn't work anymore. I can work with the mouse and monitor keyboard but the laptop keyboard is out. Does anyone have any idea!

Look for an icon that looks like an alarm clock in the tray.  This is the accessibility feature.  Bring up accessibility and untick "use filter keys" then press OK.

You can also go to Start>Control Panel>Accessibility Options.

Good luck!
