Hello! I've just come up against a problem that has me completely stumped. I normally use a gamepad to play games on my laptop. I can play anything just fine... until today. No longer will my gamepad or any other gamepad I own work outside of the programs such as Joy2Key or X-Padder. It appears the controllers are working fine, but the remapped button configuration isn't working outside of Joy2Key or the other programs. It was working fine a couple days ago too. I've never had a problem like this, but has rendered my laptop useless for games that need a controller.

Would anyone have an idea why remapped controller keys aren't working? I just spent the last 4 to 5 hours straight trying literally everything I could think of, but I can't find what is causing this sudden problem.

Hi,

Is it possible that something else is the cause? Updates? New programs installed? Anything?

Security scans give you a clean bill? Assume that you are on AC. Battery charged? Any power settings changed that might disable keypads?

Using an administrator account to change settings?

Out of guesses for now :(
