What service of theirs did you use? Their VPN service? Or did you setup a proxy?

What you used will likely guide you on how to remove it.

I watched some dude on youtube showing how to do what i did and he showed !

1. Hide my ass .com

2. choose an IP:Port Proxy

3. In Chrome got to what used to be , under the hood ...Settings Networking change Proxy settings

4. Copy the new IP Proxy Port into the LAN Settings ....under Proxy server [ ] <Box Checked "Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to Dial-up or VPN connections ) .

5. Copy the IP Address into the first box and the Port into the Port Box !

6.Check you IP to see if it changed it on whatsmyip.com to see if it changed the IP !

Ok well i did everything up top and yes it darn sure changed it alright and now my Browser is flipping out , Some sites say Bad IP Access ? OR It shows Page not available Errors ets !

Im sure you might help me out faster from what i've seen on that site , It dont say anything on how to get the original IP back !

And thanks in Advance :)

I think all you need to do is go back into the LAN setting and uncheck the box "Use a proxy server for your LAN..." and then click OK.

Yes it will still show the IP address, but if it is greyed out that means it is no longer using it.

The address box would have been blank before you entered the proxy address.

I rebooted the Laptop and it worked !

Question , is there a better way to do this whole "Be safe online by hiding ur IP" ?

I ask cause this method i used didn't help me at ALL , Obviously !

Should i have used a different site? or is it cause i don't know what am doing?

You could try using the "Hola Better Internet" plugin for Chrome. I have not used it myself but it has got good reviews.
