I am a newby and have personalized my start screen.  Now I can no longer add apps to start screen by holding down app and waiting for "pin to start" message to come up. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks much.

If you are not using the Classic Shell go to Search, right click on the application you want.   A menu will open at the bottom of the page, one of the choices there is to pin to task bar.

If you are using the Classic Shell click on Start and right click on the application you want and choose to pin it to the task bar.
