I receive this message in hitman pro after it runs at startup that. It repeats 6 times and says that internet explorer is accessing a proxy server 127.0.0.1:8118. I found a post on your site that gave instructions on how to remove the message. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/351944/hitman-pro-detects-proxy-server-on-this-computer-user/ I began to follow instructions and have so far run Malwarebytes Antimalware program and OTL. I have a log of what was fount by OTL. Please help me proceed.

Edit: Moved topic from Windows 7 to the more appropriate forum.~ Animal

Port 8118 is used by Privoxy with Tor. Is this something you've used?
