Well after seeing Windows Defender Beta and IE 7 Beta, it appears that Microsoft's beta products are beginnning to have a trend: possible severe errors and bugs. Personally, I'm a paranoid and over-cautious person so I'm avoiding almost all beta products until they come into final mode.

Good idea, Elendil; MS seems rushing out all sorts of new applications (no doubt trying to keep up with Google products) somewhat too early. I have seen many complaints, for example, about the IE7 Beta and its bugs.
From what I read, WMP is certainly tied to commercial ventures in a way that I would prefer a media play not be.
Regards,
John
