My Asus u32u notebook suddenly only works when the battery is out and the computer is charging. Therefore I assumed the battery was broken, so I got a new one, but same problem. It works for a few minutes or less, then the computer turns off. If I remove the battery and start charging the computer instead, it works just find. So neither the computer, charger or battery are broken, so why won't the computer use battery anymore?

Just a thought, maybe its the charging circuit of the laptop's motherboard since its not powering off when AC power is directly connected.
