I want to check my iCloud mail on Google Chrome but it refuses to work. The app takes a long time to load and I can never check my mail and the extension gives me an error message. It was working fine yesterday and this morning and now I cannot check my mail.

I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling both the app and extension but it still doesn't work.

Have you tried another browser such as Internet Explorer (assuming you are using Windows) or Firefox?

Have you tried creating another Windows user account and seeing if Chrome will work in that user account?

Do other webpages work with Chrome?

I cannot use iCloud on Firefox because Firefox does not have Apps. Internet Explorer doesn't work on my computer. I am not creating another Windows user account. Other webpages work with Chrome.

However, I am able to use iCloud without the app and extension.

What extension are you talking about?

To read your iCloud email, to my knowledge, no extension is necessary.

The only iCloud extension that I am aware of is to allow the iCloud Control Panel to sync any bookmarks you have synced to iCloud to sync to Google Chrome.  And that only really means anything if you have other devices sync with iCloud (i.e. iPhone, iPad, another computer, etc).  Is this what you are talking about:

The extension for Google Chrome.

I understand that it is an extension for Chrome, but that does not help me understand WHAT extension. Is it the one that is mentioned in the link from my previous post (i.e. iCloud Bookmarks by Apple) or is it some other extension such as:

iCloud by Diego Machado
ThunderCloud (iCloud tabs) by Jeffery was Here
iCloud Dashboard by Felipe C
iCloud Reminder Shortcut by Daniel R.
Launchpad for icloud by www.cgzero.com
etc.

Technically, it is a Chrome app, not extension. Have you tried uninstalling it and re-installing it?

I can say that it worked fine for me when I tried it.

To be entirely honest, I don't really see the need for that app. All it really does is basically the same thing that bookmark to icloud.com would do.

I have iCloud bookmarked in a folder.
