Hi to all at this wonderful Forum, as a newbie to the world of computers, I find this forum very helpfull
and the resposese to my few posts have been great .... I am an English man living in Central Thailand , sitting here in a small rual village with the sound's of the wild all around me as I type this , iits good to know if I should have a problem with this my first new computer ... I need not look any further...

Some sources have indicated that a new computer, just turned on and then connected to the internet, will become infected within 24 hours. Allow me to refer you to this pinned post, which is good advice for new computer owners:
