Hi.  I'm new to bleeping computer.com.  I'm not very savvy with the technical side of computers.

I'm trying to search on yahoo, but I get a message as shown in the topic. Does anyone know why and how I can fix it?

First of all - welcome to BC !

I have just tried to repeat your problem and failed. I did get a 'No permission' and '404 error' when I copy / pasted your topic heading into a browser, but that isn't how I would get to Yahoo.

All you need to do is type 'yahoo.com' (without the commas) into the address bar of your browser and you should go straight to the Yahoo web-site and that is working for me in both IE and Firefox and once you have got there, add it to your favourites or bookmarks so you don't need to type it in again.

Once you are at the Yahoo website, the search box is at the top. All you have to do is type in your search terms then eitehr click on the 'Search' button or press the 'Enter' key.

If this doesn't work out for you, post back with details of which browser and version you are using, and some details of your computer - make, model and operating system. I am almost certainly going to be offline for the next two weeks, starting Friday, but if you still have problems post back and somebody else will hopefully pick up the reins.

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !
