We used to be able to select 'One-Click Fixes' which were very useful for quickly fixing connection issues etc, but they seem to have disappeared recently.

I phoned AOL to ask but I don't think the adviser knew what I meant, or else we had difficulty understanding each other, (I'm english, he sounded Asian)

If something is EASY and IT WORKS that is a sure but way to guarantee they discontinue it.  Its Murphy's Law, subsection 1.3.a.(2)
