I am using a laptop that is the HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC.

The OS being used is the 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

I am using a wired mouse.

Recently, I have cleaned the screen and the keyboard of my laptop.

When restarting the OS, I have found out the problem as follows:

  • When opening Google Chrome browser I move the mouse pointer over the taskbar, it stops functioning even I cannot click the Start button
  • The same problem has occurred to IE browser
  • But when using Firefox, the mouse works properly as usual

Please help me fix this problem!

Does that same thing happen if you use the trackpad on the laptop?
