I have wireless access when logged in as the admin user account but when in the guest user account the wireless in unavailable.  How do I turn it on? I get no wireless icon in the task bar either.

The user account could be corrupt, try creating another user account and see if this resolves this.

Thanks for the reply "Arachibutyrophobia". I had to google how to set up a new account. Hell I have to google everything I need to do in Win 8.  So what I have read I want a "Local" account. But the tutorial says I will need to enter a password. I don't think the existing Guest acct had a password. is there a way to add a Guest acct with no password?

Update: That did the trick. A new account brought back my connection. I named it Guest 2 and then turned off the original Guest. I read that you can't delete it.

And no password was required. Just left it blank and hit enter and it went through. !

Thanks.

I didn't get back to this until just now.  I'm glad you figured out that if you don't have a password you simply press Enter.

I'm also glad that the new account resolved your issue. :thumbup2:
