XP not recognising 2nd hard drive

I have two harddisks in one pc, now i am unable to detect the hard drive in windows xp. If i use two harddisks with Operating system linux then it detects, also it works on windows 7. Can you help me with this.

Need more information. Sometimes XP won't "see" a HDD over 127GB (or 136GB, it's been awhile since I last dealt with this). Even though your other, more modern OS's weill see everything fine.


Has SP3 & all other updates been installed? And please, to better assist you, a little more info about your computer.



Performing full disc images weekly and keeping important data off of the 'C' drive as generated can be the best defence against Malware/Ransomware attacks, as well as a wide range of other issues.
